Male Grooming: A Makeup Artist’s Passion

As a makeup artist, I’ve always found joy in enhancing natural beauty and empowering individuals through my craft. However, there’s something uniquely gratifying about delving into the world of male grooming. Breaking stereotypes and embracing the art of makeup application for men has been a journey close to my heart.

Male grooming isn’t just about covering imperfections; it’s about enhancing features, boosting confidence, and celebrating individuality. Whether it’s a subtle touch-up for a photoshoot or a transformative look for a special event, I relish the opportunity to work with male clients and help them feel their best.

One highlight of my career was the opportunity to work with the talented Cary Elwes. As a makeup artist, getting to work with someone whose work you love makes the gig even more special!

Preparing to work with Cary Elwes was so fun! My hubby Skip Kelly loves his work so I knew I had to get some little Princess Bride insight straight from Carey once I got to meet him!

When he arrived on set he was seriously the kindest soul! Amazing to work with, and he shared little behind the scenes nuggets about Princess Bride. He was a breeze to get done (hello have you seen how amazing his hair is!?!?) I loved hearing about his childhood summers in Spain (which hit home with a similar childhood going back to Mexico in the summers) And if you are wondering if he is truly the gentleman PB portrays him to be, he did not let me carry my bags down the stairs. Complete gentleman 💓 If I ever get a chance to do male grooming again I will immediately respond with “as you wish” 🥰
